Greetings,
Families of Freedom Prep Charter School. I am honored to begin the 2022-2023 school year as your Superintendent of Schools.
Freedom Prep’s mission is to provide a comprehensive, rigorous academic
program that prepares scholars for college and career readiness while promoting an all-inclusive safe environment that instills the values to empower our scholars to be impactful global citizens.
As the leader of FPCS, I am committed to consistently creating a safe, rigorous learning environment to ensure our scholars are able to set and achieve academic and life-long goals for themselves.
To honor my commitment this year, we have adopted new curriculums for our educational programs that include an establishment of our Career and Technical Education (CTE) Pathway program and our Cisco Academy in partnership with the Dream Center.
We are also establishing a structured behavior-based curriculum to support our scholars with their social and emotional needs while building and cultivating strong character and adopting new systems to support our communication with our families.
In addition, we have increased safeguards when entering our facilities—created our family and engagement committee that includes our Family Forums, Lunch and Learns, and our newly established Parent Teacher Organization.
This year you will see new leaders, educators, school colors, logo, mascot, and motto, but what remains the same is our commitment and dedication to the scholars and families of Freedom Prep Charter School and the passion for serving our Camden Community.
I look forward to seeing you at one of the family events we have planned during the summer and monthly family engagement events. I welcome your compliments and concerns. I am only a phone call or email away.
Freedom Prep Charter School is on the Rise this year, and we are ready to Achieve!
Yours in education,
Ms. Wyomia L. Scott, Ed.S.
Superintendent of Schools
